Ethos – The Nursery Oxford

Ethos

All who are involved in the running of The Nursery believe in striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.

We believe to achieve this; the following aims are important.

We aim to create a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere, where the children and staff make positive relationships, are happy and know they are valued.

We aim to provide a range of stimulating and enjoyable activities for the children within enabling environments and to encourage their all-round development in accordance with the principles specified within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five.

We aim to actively value each child as an individual and unique child and to encourage him/her to develop confidence, independence, and self-esteem. We aim to teach the value and respect of others.

We aim to encourage the children to become motivated, independent, and active learners, to lay good foundations for their future learning and education. We aim to continue our own professional developments to keep our practice informed current and safe.

We aim to include parents as full and valued partners in the nursery and its activities with open communication and shared trust.

We aim to continue and improve on the practice that Ofsted awarded “Outstanding” on the last inspection in August 2018.
